This painting is reflective of how unhealed trauma can make you feel different, but it’s not you that’s different, what happened to you is different. You can often feel triggered by your past trauma and it keeps showing up in your life until you start your healing journey. There is actually nothing wrong with you, you were just unfortunate to experience trauma/s in your life. Trauma is represented in the painting by all the abstract dark creatures lurking in the shadows, through all this darkness an abstract pure white bird emerges, which is you. Even though all this happened to you, you are coming through it. This painting just happened by pure experimentation – every mark, texture and paint drip conveyed my emotion at the time.
Framing can be arranged in both white and natural wood with a local fine art framer. Contact me for more info on this if you are interested.
